Physical activity is an essential piece is promoting long and healthy lives of our kids and family (Singh et al., 2020). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend youth and adolescence 6-17 years old need a minimum of 60 minutes of exercise daily (CDC, 2024). With busy schedules and competing priorities, it can be hard to prioritize exercise and movement. Making small efforts throughout the day is one way to help ensure you are active but also encourage spending time together as a family.
